Top 4 Halloween Events In The Okanagan

Ladies and ghouls, it’s October 2018, and that means that Halloween is coming up! Halloween is a scary time of year, and we love every moment of it, which is why we’ve put together a guide to some of the best Halloween events of the year. We’re really excited to show you a top four 2018 Halloween events so let’s get started!

Halloween Spooktacular

Where: 375 Hartman Road, Kelowna

When: October 27th

Why: A family-friendly event at the Okanagan YMCA with fun Halloween activities like face-painting, Halloween-themed games, crafts, and more. Free for YMCA members, $10 for adults, $7.50 for children and seniors.

Nightmare on Front Street

Where: Front Street, Penticton

When: October 31st

Why: Between the costume parade, trick-or-treating, and the prizes, Nightmare on Front Street is going to be a spooky event to remember.

Horrorfest

Why: Horrorfest is an independent horror film festival held by the Okanagan Society of Independent Filmmakers to showcase a variety of short films in the horror genre. Anyone prepared to be scared should come!

Sip & Carve

Where: Buvez Wine Bar (315 Lawrence Avenue)

When: October 3rd-31st

Why: Wine may appear to be a strange match with pumpkin-carving, but hey; if it works, it works. Drop by at any point between the 3rd and the 31st to sip on wine and carve those pumpkins. You’re going to want to get in early though; supplies of pumpkins are limited.
